There's a new King in Town
It used to be just the giant squid. It had never been seen alive. There was a team that picked up some babies from the shallows once, but they didn't survive the ride back to shore. Occasionally the bodies would surface, beaks showed up in the bellies of Sperm whales. Scientists pieced together its behavior in combat based on sucker marks left on the hide of whales. Now they've found one that's even bigger.
"This animal, armed as it is with the hooks and the beak that it has, not only is colossal in size but is going to be a phenomenal predator and something you are not going to want to meet in the water."
You have no idea how happy this makes me.
Thanks Paul for the heads up.
