Monster Island

Island.
The winner was Dead Kev from All Things Zombie. We're also going to give a cameo appearance on Monster Island to Paul Ford for his noble efforts at Ftrain. My friend Dave is writing a serial novel and I’m helping him publish it online. The novel is called Monster Island, and it is about a zombie apocalypse in New York City.

There will be a number of novels set in New York City published this year. There will be novels about plucky young women and the cynical young men who pursue them. There will be delicately wrought moral fables that manage to be tough-minded and humane at the same time. There will be social satires and comedies of error and sprawling family epics and scenester reveries. But there will only be one novel that opens with zombies thrashing in the Hudson river as they attempt to board a rusty trawler. That book, friends, is Monster Island. And this is the first chapter.
