I've tried to ween myself off of gawker - but I spotted this link to Models Bowling for Tsunami Relief, which evidently isn’t a joke, and was reminded of this piece from writing static.“Having been sucked out to sea by an enormous tidal wave, I have nothing to cling to but a two litre soft drink bottle, and nothing to eat but fall-away from the bodies of those around me, finding the idea of tearing open coconuts with my gums more than a little distasteful, as my teeth were smashed out of my mouth by the force of the water. I'm convinced that Writing Static is home to some of the best writing available online; it’s a bracing shot of spleen – like a tmftml of the the soul.
