It's traditional on Squid Day to attach books to fishing lines and present them to your friends

Paul Ford of Ftrain's debut novel, Gary Benchley, Rock Star, is out now. There’s a nice site for the book that includes a glossary of terms like,
"Metrosexual: a man who likes to look good but avoids sodomy. (p. 24)”
and
"Dylan, Bob: best known by his real name, Robert Zimmerman, and for being friends with beat poets. (p. 4)"
There’s also a blog disguised as a “news” section, and links to stores where you can buy it at a hefty discount – which you should, not only because Paul is a very funny man, but also because he has been giving away really fine writing for many years now at Ftrain.com. Entertainment Weekly calls the book “warm, human, and surprisingly sweet”, which is also a good description of Paul. So go off and buy it. And if you take public transportation to work in the mornings, read it conspicuously.
